An off season program exploring a variety of strength training techniques designed to get the strongest and most efficient actions out of a baseball player.
Phase 1 will have athletes learning to use body weight exercises. This serves several purposes:
Phase 2 explores the development of basic lifts with variants to create sound form and technique so athletes have the base to move safely into the powerlifting phase.
Phase 3 involves powerlifting to develop strength, size, and explosiveness.
Throughout the program we will work on rotational strength, hip strength, and core to provide athletes with functionality to be more efficient players. Players will also work on base running speed and change of direction as how it relates to baseball.
Where: Diamond Kings Bristol
When: Tuesdays 6-7:30
Dates: December 7, 14, 21, 28
Ages: 13+
What to expect:
With Lance Stevens at Diamond Kings Bristol on Tuesdays 4-5:15 from January 11, 2022 to March 1, 2022
Ages: High School athletes (limited to 5 players)
